At the Carlisle Family YMCA our mission is to:

"Promote personal growth,
Enhance family values, and
Provide community service through programs available to all." 

How do we accomplish this mission?  Read below. 

The YMCA Mission in Action

  • The YMCA offers a variety of programs for every family member that strengthens your spirit, mind and body. 
  • The YMCA embraces the four character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and creates an atmosphere that supports these values.
  • The YMCA is a member of a community that welcomes and embraces people of all abilities, incomes, ethnicities and religions.
  • The YMCA is a worldwide fellowship of 30 million people in 122 countries.  The Carlisle Family YMCA is part of a National Organization that supports causes around the globe.   
  • The YMCA provides scholarships to people who can’t afford to pay the full fees for membership and program participation.  These scholarships are available NOT through membership fees paid by others but by funds from the United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County and from our Annual Strong Kids Campaign. 
  • At the YMCA you are encouraged to give back to your community by sharing time and talent as a volunteer or donor.
  • The YMCA supports other community organizations and gives our members the chance to support and contribute to their services - building a stronger community. 
  • At the YMCA you have fun and you feel welcome as part of the Family!
