Facility Policies

Facility Policy
  1. Proof of membership or program participation is required for building access.    
  2. Appropriate attire (shirt & shoes) is expected for all areas of the facility.  No swim suits in the lobby!  No jeans or sandals in the fitenss center. 
  3. Food and drink must remain in the lobby area.
  4. No smoking in the building!
  5. Cleansing showers are required prior to using the pool, steam rooms, and sauna.
  6. Power Cycling reservations can be made up to 48 hours in advance.  Court reservations can be made up to 1 week in advance.  Call ahead if unable to make reserved time.  A reservation is considered open if it is not claimed by 10 minutes past.  *Please confirm court reservations upon arrival.
  7. The YMCA provides lockers for daily use.   Kit Lockers are available for rental on a yearly basis.  Locks found on day use lockers after closing time will be cut off.  The YMCA is not responsible for loss of personal property.  We discourage bringing valuables into the locker room area.
  8. Adult locker rooms are for ages 19 and over ONLY.  Boys over age 5 must use the boys’ locker room, girls over age 5 must use the girls’ locker room.  OPTION:  Parents may change with their children in the unisex bathroom in the racquetball court area.
  9. No weapons, drugs or alcohol are allowed on the property.

Guest Policies

  1. All guests must be accompanied by a member.
  2. The fee for Youth Guests is $3.00 (ages 18 & under).  Youth may have only 1 guest per visit. 
  3. The fee for Adult Guests is $8.00 (ages 19 & over).
  4. All guests must sign in at the member services desk.  Members are responsible for their guests behavior; misbehavior may cause loss of privileges.   
  5. Military personnel who are home on leave may use the YMCA for $8.00 per visit (with valid military ID).
  6. College students who are home on break may use the YMCA for $8.00 per visit (with valid college ID outside of a 50 mile radius).
  7. The AWAY program is for visitors who are members of other YMCAs located outside of a 50 mile radius.
  8. Guest fees are good for two consecutive days; no refund is given for failure to visit the second day.

Inclement Weather Policy

We will make every effort to offer all programs and services as long as the Carlisle Family YMCA is open. 
If a class or program ever has to be cancelled, we will make every effort to notify participants.  You can also always contact the Welcome Center for program information.

Maintenance

Necessary maintenance projects will be scheduled during low usage periods.  Membership fees will not be refunded for maintenance down time.  This is our commitment to maintaining your facility.

Age Guidelines

We are committed to being an accessible facility for youth.  To do this we must have rules to ensure the safety of youth and to protect our investment in the facility.  Our mission with youth is to promote character development and healthy lifestyles.  Please read these rules and review them with your children.  

Ages 8 & Under 
May only use the facility when accompanied by an adult member 19 years or older.  (May participate in organized programs without adult member present)
If youth is a non or weak swimmer, adult must be in the water with the child.
Use of Youth Locker Rooms only.

Ages 9-12 
May use the YMCA on own unti 8:00pm.
Does not include fitness center access.
Racquetball courts may be used only when accompanied by an adult aged 19 and older.
Use of Youth Locker Rooms only.

Ages 13-18
Have no curfew; may use the YMCA during all hours of operation.
Must be trained by staff for fitness center and racquetball courts.
Use of Youth Locker Rooms only.

Ages 19 & Up
Full Facility access
Use of Adult Locker Rooms, Steam Room and Sauna.

Program Policies

  1. To register for a program, the fee or advertised deposit must be paid in full.
  2. Program registration deadlines must be observed for adequate planning of staff and supplies. 
  3. Program participants may cancel their registration up to the registration deadline and receive a 75% refund.  After this date, there are no refunds or credits.  Any deposits or enrollment fees that are required for a program are non-refundable.
  4. The Carlisle Family YMCA encourages participation in our programs by all people without reference or limitation to their specific religious belief.  We endorse and practice this all-inclusiveness while acknowledging the Christian values that mark the heritage and evolution of the national YMCA movement.  Any program sponsored by the Carlisle Family YMCA that specifically incorporates Christian principles or beliefs in its curriculum will be so identified for potential participants.
  5. Photographs may be taken of program participants or people using the facilities.  Photos may be used for display, promotion or advertising.
  6. The YMCA reserves the right to require a physician's authorization for membership and program participation when necessary.
  7. By registering for programs on-line you are expressly providing the Carlisle Family YMCA and its agents and affiliates permission to send emails at the email address provided regarding membership as well as other programs and services provided by the YMCA.  I understand that this permission extends until it is expressly revoked by me. 

Returned Check Policy

Returned checks or bank-drafts will be assessed a $35 service fee.
