Y Talk: Family Word Workouts by Tara Young
I like things easy when it comes to figuring out what to do for a workout. Using Family Word Workouts is a great way to get everyone moving. Pick the same word or everyone can choose a word and then get your heart rate up when doing the exercises.
I’m also thinking about using this for the swim teams I coach as a quick dryland workout before we get in the water. Pick an inspirational word discuss what it means to the team or family and then everyone does the work out.
No equipment is necessary so doing this at home is fun and easy. You can add water bottles for hand weights for some activities or books to add weight to your work out. And if you really want a challenge, create a motivational phrase and have it be your morning kick start!
