Y News: Y Announces United Way Employee Campaign Winners

We are thankful for our generous employees who donated to our United Way Employee Campaign. We are excited to announce that we raised $8,132 this year!

As an incentive, we split our staff into three teams and offered the chance to win Visa gift cards to everyone who donated as well as an extra chance for everyone who donated on the top two teams.

Below were the teams for this year:

• Team 1 – Aquatics and Sports
• Team 2 – Physical, Youth and Child Care
• Team 3 – Admin/Welcome Center, Camp and Property

With a few last-minute donations, Team 2 moved into first place on the last day of the campaign. Here are the final standings:

• First Place: Team 2 with 31.4% participation
• Second Place: Team 1 with 28.3% participation
• Third Place: Team 3 with 24.5% participation

All donors on Team 2 were entered for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card. Donors on Team 1 had a chance at a $50 Visa gift card. And all donors were entered for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.

And the winners are…

• First-Place Team Winner – Jim Mader, Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor
• Second-Place Team Winner – Kelly Tyrrell, Sports Director
• Overall Winner – Michelle Bell, Marketing Director
