Member Service Representatives
POSITION SUMMARY
The Member Service Representative is the first point of contact for members and guests, providing exceptional customer service and promoting programs and services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys interacting with people.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Make the Y experience a happy one – the highpoint of the day.
- Greet and assist members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process new memberships, renewals and inquiries
- Promote facility programs, services and events to members
- Serve as a point of contact during facility and/or medical emergencies
- Maintain accurate records and handle transactions using computer systems
- Attend staff meetings and required training
- Complete various administrative tasks and small projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong background in customer service
- Proficient in computer and internet use, including basic office software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a busy environment
- Enjoys working with people and providing high-quality service
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-traffic environment
JOB TYPE & PAY
- Part-time – generally 4+ hours (standing) and 2 or 3 days a week with rotating weekend shifts required
- Available Shifts – 8am-12:30pm,12:30-5:30pm, 3-8pm, 5:30-9pm (There’s some flexibility with these shifts)
- Pay – $10/hour (Could be eligible to earn up to a $1 raise after 90 days)
