7th Grade Initiative

This initiative offers free Y memberships to all 7th-grade students and features Lift Zone by Comcast. The goal of the program is to inspire youth to discover their passions, develop a healthy lifestyle and gain the assets needed to avoid risky behaviors and succeed in school and life. To activate the free membership, 7th-graders should bring their school ID or report card and a parent or guardian with them to the Carlisle Family YMCA. Parents should provide the required membership information and youth can begin to use the membership benefits immediately. Registration opens September 2, 2025 and the free membership expires May 31, 2026.

Membership includes:

• Use of the Carlisle Family YMCA indoor facilities during operating hours
• Teen programs including group exercise classes and more!

Weekly Meetings

This year students can attend Mondays and/or Wednesdays with Omar. From 3:30-5:30pm on those days, programs will be offered just for 7th grade students. They can work out, play basketball, play pickleball, swim, etc. from October 2025 through May 2026! The first meeting (required for 7GI participants) is on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 3:45pm. We will go over YMCA rules, policies and procedures for the facility. If you cannot attend this meeting, contact me as soon as possible. Additionally, our mandatory leadership meetings are Nov 5 and Dec 3 at 4pm. Meetings are required for 7GI participants except with prior approval to be excused for extracurricular activities. Meetings are held in the Living Room at the Carlisle Family YMCA.
